We're going to preserve the section of log the bees are in and make a log hive by attaching screen to this end (to keep out predators), auguring an entrance hole for them on this end, trimming down from the other end until we find the end of the hive, standing it up straight (with the support of a nearby tree and some of our leftover lumber), and adding a super on the top for them to move into as they expand.
